Protesters scuffled with police after the Ukrainian Interior Ministry launched an "anti-terrorist operation" in Kharkov by blocking the city centre, Tuesday.
Law enforcers have opened a driveway on the Sumskaya Street near the city administration, following protesters surrounding the building and constructing barricades.
A woman attempted to spray tear gas, but was apprehended and detained by authorities as part of their security operation. So far, at least 70 activists have been arrested by the police, while public services continue dismantling the barricades made by protesters.
