The Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft carrying cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy and astronaut Michael Hopkins on their journey back to Earth soared through the sky after undocking from the International Space Station on Monday night. Expected to last for approximately 4 minutes and 50 seconds, the deorbit burn occurs around 30 minutes before the spacecraft enters the Earth's atmosphere.
The Russian and American crew members spent 166 days together onboard the ISS. The crew plans to deorbit at 10:30 p.m.ahead of a landing at 11:24 p.m. local time in Kazakhstan, southeast of Dzhezkazgan on March 11.
