Russia: Lavrov briefs Putin on US proposals for Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov briefed Russian President Vladimir Putin on the proposals for normalising the situation in Ukraine, in Moscow on Monday.
Commenting on the proposals sent by US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday, Lavrov said that it presumed that there is a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, making them unacceptable. The foreign minister said that the Russian Security Council had set up new proposals, and that the US reviewed theirs after that.
He further said that Russia will not passively accept proposals from other countries.
