Switzerland: Hyundai takes wraps off hydrogen fuel cell Intrado
Hyundai unveiled its hydrogen fuel cell prototype for drivetrain cars, the Intrado concept, at the Geneva International Motor Show on Wednesday.
The concept car features two hydrogen storage deposits, which are capable of holding 99.9 litres (26.4 gallons) of hydrogen, an electric motor and a 36kW battery. With such combined power, Intrado can run up to 600 km (373 miles) between fills.
The car's chasis is made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, which is modulated to achieve greater flexibility, and its panels are made of a super lightweight steel. Hyundai's ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle, inspired by the Intrado, was also on display at the international motor show.
