Ukraine: Thousands attend pro-Russia rally in Donetsk
Around 2000 pro-Russian protesters gathered in front of the Regional Administration building in Donetsk on Sunday, chanting slogans including "Russia", "Berkut" "Shame, shame to the government". Speakers asked the crowd who attending was Russian, with people raising their hands in agreement.
Protesters handed out St. George's ribbons and flew Russian and flags with symbols.
Protesters also oppose the appointment of businessman Sergei Taruta as governor of the area by the self-proclaimed Ukrainian government.
