Venezuela: Tensions mount between anti and pro-government activists
Pro-government supporters shouted heated slogans to anti-government protesters from the 'Women for life' demonstration on Wednesday in Caracas, with members of the National Guard standing between the individuals to prevent violence.
With a reported 14 people dead from February's clashes during widespread protests, the female protesters were prompted by opposition political Maria Corina Machado to take part in the demonstration.
Machado, who has been staunchly critical of President Maduro's leadership, was joined by opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez's wife Lillian Tintori, whose politician husband has been detained since February 20 on charges of inciting violence during protests.
