UAE: Middle East gets its first look at $87 million Airbus ACJ319
Airbus showed off their spacious ACJ319 for the first time ever in the Middle East during the second day of the third annual Abu Dhabi Air Expo taking place at El Bateen Executive Airport on Wednesday.
The ACJ319 features VIP charters capable of seating up to 19 passengers, two lounge areas, a conference and dining room, a large shower, a bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a starlight ceiling that changes colours, and comfortable leather seating with reclinable chairs.
Priced at about $87 million (63.3 million euros), the jet boasts the largest cabin cross-section on the market, a maximum range of 11,800 km (7,332 miles), a maximum speed of 870 km/h (540 mph), an engine thrust of 98 to 120 kN, a cabin length of 24 metres (79 ft) and a cabin width of 3.7 metres (12 feet).
Marketing Director of Airbus Corporate Jets, David Velupillai, said that while the exterior of the plane resembles that of most corporate jets, the inside of the ACJ319 features the largest cabin area of any business airliner.
