      Greece: NATO Secretary-General warns Ukraine against military option

      Greece: NATO Secretary-General warns Ukraine against military option

      NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen warned President Viktor Yanukovych against using the military against protesters in Athens, Thursday. Rasmussen said compromising the "neutrality" of the military would have a detrimental effect on the country's relationship with NATO. Rasmussen also reaffirmed his belief in the need for a political dialogue and condemned the violence currently rocking the country.

      Rasmussen is currently in Athens where he is meeting with European Union Defence Ministers to discuss potential ways of improving European military capabilities.
