Russia: Udaltsov and Razvozzhaev on trial for 'planning mass disorder'
Leader of the Left Front movement, Sergey Udaltsov, and Leonid Razvozzhaev are on trial in Moscow for plotting mass disorder in relation to the 2012 Bolotnaya Square riots, Tuesday. If found guilty, the men will face up to ten years in prison.
Proceedings opened after a film, 'Anatomy Of A Protest 2', showed a meeting between Russian opposition leaders and Georgian politician Givi Targamadze was aired by Russian broadcaster NTV. The film allegedly showed Razvozzhaev and Udaltsov discussing plans for mass riots in May 2012, on the eve of President Vladimir Putin's inauguration to a third presidential term.
