      Germany: We cannot magic away Russia, it is an "indispensable partner" - Schulz

      European Parliament President Martin Schulz spoke about EU-Russia ties at the launch of former German Chancellor Schroeders new book "Klare Worte" (Clear Words) at the Deutsche Bank event hall in Berlin, Thursday.

      Schulz told the audience at the launch how Europe's politicians continue to discuss internal issues within Russia and constantly apply pressure upon its leaders and delegates when talks between the EU and Russia occur.

      Yet, Schulz emphasised that Russia cannot be "magicked away", and that Russia will always be an important partner for the EU in all international endeavours, mentioning Iran in particular.
