      Russia: Putin greets the Chinese Olympic team

      Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Chinese House in the Olympic Village in Sochi Monday, meeting with Director of the Chinese State General Administration of Sports Liu Peng, athletes, and other officials.

      During his visit, Putin witnessed a performance of traditional martial arts, and was presented with gifts. Putin also congratulated China on its only medal of the Olympics so far, a silver won in short track speed skating by 17-year-old Han Tianyu.
