Afghanistan: Two civilian NATO contractors killed in attack on ISAF convoy
Two civilian contractors working for the US-led ISAF foreign military coalition were killed by a car bomb explosion in the eastern part of Kabul on Monday. Militant group Hezb-i-Islami has claimed responsibility for the attack. The explosion occurred as a car filled with explosive materials detonated next to a convoy on the street next to Pul-i-Charkhi prison. At least seven Afghan civilians were wounded, including one child.
Afghan officials said the attack targeted foreign forces, but no military casualties were reported. Two civilian vehicles were destroyed in the attack that also damaged nearby buildings.
