Indonesia: Schapelle Corby released after 9 years behind bars
After 9 years in jail, convicted Australian drug trafficker, Schapelle Corby, was whisked past journalists by police after being released on bail from Kerobokan prison in Bali, Monday.
The 36-year-old was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being apprehended entering Bali in 2004 with 4.2 kilograms (9.2 pounds) of cannabis concealed in her surf gear.
In 2012 Corby's sentence was cut by five years following a clemency request submitted two years previously on grounds of deteriorating mental health. As part of her parole Corby will not be able to leave Bali until 2017.
It is expected that she will stay with her sister Mercedes, who lives in Bali, for the duration of this period.
