      Ukraine: Klitschko addresses massed Maidan protesters at veche council

      Tens of thousands of protesters gathered on Maidan square in Kiev to hear leaders of the opposition address the tenth weekly veche, a communal council held by anti-government forces. UDAR party leader Vitali Klitschko addressed the crowd, urging them to keep fighting for early presidential elections.

      The leader also suggested a return to the 2004 constitution, which he said was a base for further political changes. He also challenged incumbent President Viktor Yanukovych to a public debate, saying he should hear what his people really think of him.
