Kazakhstan: Progress space craft begins flight to ISS
The Progress M-54 spacecraft launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, embarking on a six hour, four orbit trek to the International Space Station, where it will deliver 2.8 tonnes of cargo.
Loaded with 1,764 pounds of propellant, 110 pounds of oxygen, 926 pounds of water and 2,897 pounds of spare parts, the Progress M-54 also carries experiment hardware among its supplies for the Expedition 38 crew.
The crew is expecting to receive the cargo on Thursday morning.
