Two lucky fans got to go on a date with George Clooney after winning a $10 (€7.40) raffle to secure the prize. A woman and her daughter hung out with Clooney backstage at the "Late Show With David Letterman," before striding down the red carpet at the premiere of "Monuments Men," which Clooney co-directed. The event was held at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City. The lucky winners then attended the after party as VIP guests.
Attending the premiere were fellow cast members, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray, amongst other celebrities.
The raffle was part of a fundraising scheme for Clooney’s Satellite Sentinel Project, a surveillance programme.
