Libya: African cup champions get a raucous hero's welcome

The Libyan football team arrived home to a hero's welcome in Tripoli, Monday, having defeated Ghana at the 2014 African Nations Championship in Cape Town, South Africa, on Saturday.

The victory on penalties redeemed their defeat to Ghana, which was also decided in a penalty shootout, in 1982. Libya will have the chance to win the title again on home soil in 2017.

The team are expected to embark on a tour of honour of Libya's main cities.
