Germany: Police on high alert at Munich Security Conference

The 50th Munich Security Conference kicked off at Munich's Bayerischer Hof hotel on Friday with police on high alert. Police officers were seen checking all vehicles in the immediate area and requesting that people without accreditation find other ways of getting to their destination.

The annual MSC sees high-ranking officials debate global security issues. This year Ukrainian opposition leader Vitali Klitschko is set to address the conference, joining Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Germany: Police on high alert at Munich Security Conference
