Russia: Navy secures Sochi Olympics zone
The Russian Navy and the Coast Guard service continued to implement a security zone in the Sochi area of the Black Sea ahead of the Winter Olympics, Monday. All unapproved vessels are prohibited from entering the area until March 21.
At least nine crafts were on seashore patrol on Monday, including PSKR-927 and Ust-Labinsk Svetlyak-class patrol boats, two Rubin-class Project 22460, and at least five Mangust and Sobol-class patrol vessels.
The Russian Navy provided at least two Grachonok-class counter-sabotage vessels and a range of small boats in addition to other small crafts provided by the Russian Federal Security Service, the Federal Protective Service, the police and the emergency ministry.
