      Secretary of State John Kerry baffled some and amused others when he gave Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov potatoes during a meeting in Paris, Monday. The potatoes, Kerry said, are from Idaho and are the state's greatest export.

      Kerry and Lavrov are meeting in Paris to discuss Syria and the planned Geneva-II meeting, which is scheduled for January 22.
