Egypt: Violent clashes ahead of referendum on new constitution

Violent clashes broke out between supporters and opponents of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in Cairo on Friday.

Pro-Morsi supporters called for a boycott of an upcoming referendum on a draft constitution due to take place next week.

Two protesters were killed in clashes in Suez, and a third victim of protest-related violence was shot dead in the northern city of Alexandria.
