Syria: Agendas of others will not prevail in Geneva II conference - Syrian Minister
Syrian Information Minister Omran Zoabi has avowed that the Syrian delegation at the Geneva II conference on Syria won't permit for any "US, Saudi or Turkish agenda to pass" in a televised press conference from Damascus on Tuesday.
He added that the decision of whether or not President Bashar al-Assad will re-stand for presidency is a personal one and that there remained popular support amongst the Syrian electorate for him running for presidency.
Zoabi also repeated the government's position that any agreement reached at the Geneva conference -would need to be validated by a referendum.
