France: Dead sex workers remembered at rally against industry violence
Marking the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, advocates of the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) gathered in Paris' Place Pigalle Tuesday in remembrance of those who lost their lives working in the sex industry in 2013.
The protest called for safer working conditions in the name of the 'ongoing struggle for empowerment, visibility and rights for all sex workers'.
French lawmakers voted December 4 in favour of fining people who use prostitutes.
