USA: What has the UN Secretary General learned since 2007?
The number of areas in crisis seems to be increasing around the world, said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a New York press conference, Monday in response to a question on what he's learned since beginning his mandate in 2007. He also added no country, no matter how powerful, can solve global issues on its own and added that he had also experienced "weakening political wills".
He said: "I'm just amazed that there are still so many challenges of this world. The number of crisis seems to be increasing than during my first term. At the beginning of my first term, the situation in Darfur was the key, most serious issue. Now you have so many issues - Syria, CAR, Mali and you name all this issues."
