USA: Walmart workers' protest adds to Black Friday mayhem

Workers gathered outside a Walmart store in Los Angeles, California on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, to protest both the store's minimum wage salary and having to work during the Thanksgiving holiday. Protesters wielded signs emblazoned with the message "25k", a call to have their wages raised to $25,000 a year, which they say is a living wage that would allow them to support a family.

Around fifty people were arrested earlier in the month in similar protests demanding better wages throughout Los Angeles.
