Ukraine: Activists warm up for another day of protests

Protesters stood around braziers in central Kiev early Tuesday morning as they prepared for another day of pro-EU protests. Protesters have set up camp in European Square, with demonstrations expected to continue at several locations, including Independence Square and in front of the Cabinet of Ministers building.

The Ukrainian capital was rocked by a series of clashes Monday, with violence erupting between police and protesters at a number of locations.

Demonstrators have been gathering in the Ukrainian capital to protest against the government's Thursday decision to suspend talks over an association agreement with the European Union. Opposition leaders joined the protest, thought to be the largest since the 2004 Orange Revolution.
