Ukraine: Pro-EU march attracts heavy police presence in Kiev

Pro-EU Ukrainians marched to Kiev's Independence Square for a third day on Sunday, protesting against the Ukrainian government's decision to delay an association deal with the EU.

The rally was called by the Batkivshchyna, UDAR and Svoboda parties following the announcement of the government that it will renew active dialogue with Russia.

On Thursday, Ukraine rejected draft laws that would allow the release of a jailed former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, suspended plans for a trade agreement with the European Union and announced it will renew active dialogue with Russia.
