Russia: US citizen Dmitry Litvinov released on bail on Arctic 30 charges
Dual US-Swedish citizen Dmitry Litvinov became the latest of the Arctic 30 crewmembers to be released from detention center in St. Petersburg on Friday just a few hours after Kalininskiy court had decided grant them bail at 2 million rubles ($61,500).
Only Australian activist Colin Russell, who was denied bail on Monday and Britian Phil Ball, who has been granted bail but has not provided documents necessary for release, remain in detention in St Petersburg.
The 30 Greenpeace activists and crew members were initially charged piracy, following a protest at Gazprom's Prirazlomnaya Arctic drilling platform.
