Germany: Jamie Oliver says No to GMO
Celebrity British chef Jamie Oliver said Europeans do not want American and Australian beef because they have too many hormones at a book launch event in Berlin on Thursday to promote his new book 'Cook clever with Jamie'.
"There is lots going on in America at the moment, it's a massive conversation," said the chef. "But a real paradox of some of best practices in the world organically, biodynamically, sustainably, ahh growing massively. But obviously some of the most, in my opinion only, some of the most intense, disgusting, intensive farming whether it's chemicals, pesticides, GMOs, intensive animal farming."
"It was only five or six years ago in England where you could have an intensively weird chicken that would have never seen day light and on the pack it would be a chicken going BGEEERK and there was like a big old field. You know, complete lies."
This is Oliver's sixteenth book.
