Russia: Emotions high as Italian Arctic 30 member released on bail

Soon to be released Arctic Sunrise crew member Cristian D'Alessandro fought back tears on Tuesday when he heard the Kalininsky District Court in St Petersburg's decision to free him on bail. The court set a bond of 2 million rubles, and D'Alessandro must return to face trial on the charge of 'hooliganism'.

D'Alessandro is one of 30 Greenpeace activists who face hooliganism charges following a protest at Gazprom's Prirazlomnaya Arctic drilling platform in the Pechora Sea on September 19th.

Russia: Emotions high as Italian Arctic 30 member released on bail
