France: Hunt for the Liberation gunman continues as day breaks in Paris
Police are still searching for the gunman who opened fire inside the office of the left-wing French daily newspaper Liberation on Monday.
A photography assistant was injured in one of the gun blasts and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Following this initial attack the assailant, armed with a pump action shotgun and grenades, is believed to have then fired on the headquarters of the Societe Generale bank, after which he hijacked a car to take him to Champs-Elysees.
The same gunman is also thought to have been behind last Friday's shooting at the BFM - TV station.
