Russia: Was there a technical problem with Flight U363?

The plane that crashed whilst landing at Kazan airport had significant problems landing on its previous flight, Linara Kashafutdinova a passenger on its penultimate flight stated. She told of how the plane started shaking violently minutes before landing after a quiet flight, suggesting there may have been technical problems that were not picked up prior to the tragedy. An investigation into the tragedy has already begun.

Kashafutdinova explained: "It all started when we were landing at Domodedovo airport, just before landing the plane started to shake heavily. It was such a feeling that we were under a very strong flow of air, but the fact is that when I came out of the airport, the weather was good - there was no strong wind or rain - and we were literally shaking from one side of the plane to another: the plane tilt to the right and to the left, it was pulled up and down - it was shaking strongly enough. Feelings were extremely unpleasant."

According to reports from the Russian government, all 51 passengers and crew aboard the plane have died, including the son of the president of the Tatarstan region. The plane, a regular passenger plane from Moscow Domodedovo carrying the call sign Flight U363, came down near the city airport at 19.25 local time. Local news reported that the plane made several attempts to land before the accident occurred.
