      Russia: Syrian National Coalition rejects Russian initiative for talks - foreign ministry

      During a press briefing in Moscow on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich revealed how the exile based Syrian National Coalition have turned down a Russian offer of informal talks. Several other opposition groups which met in Geneva had given positive feedback to talks.

      Plans for peace talks between the Syrian government and opposition groups have yet to be finalised, with opposition numerous groups publicly denouncing the talks.
