Egypt: Pro-Morsi protesters targeted with tear gas
Students protesting in support of ousted President Mohamed Morsi were targeted with tear gas by Egyptian forces outside the campus of Al-Azhar University in Cairo on Monday.
The clashes were organised a week before the ousted President Mohamed Morsi faces trial on charges of inciting murder.
Pro-Muslim Brotherhood students have held a wave of demonstrations across Egypt's major universities demanding the reinstatement of ex-President Mohamed Morsi and the release of over 2,000 Muslim Brotherhood-associated detainees.
Demonstrations took place last week at Al-Azhar University and Cairo University, where things turned violent between supporters and opponents of Morsi.
