Spain: Students squeeze Wert in Barcelona
Thousands of young people took to the streets of Barcelona, Thursday, to protest against education cuts.
Around 30,000 university students were priced out of university by high registration fees. Some students are also upset over the so-called Wert law, named after Spanish Minister of Education Jose Ignacio Wert. Among the law's requirements are single-sex schools receiving only partial funding from the state, and students having to choose earlier between a vocational and an academic path.
