Russia: Troops simulate chemical weapon cleanup
Troops from the radiation, chemical and biological defence corps of Russia carried out the most large-scale exercise in recent years on Friday in Saratov region to simulate aiding a site that has been affected by chemical weapons. Over 3,500 people and up to 500 units of military and emergency situation vehicles took part in the drills.
According to the simulation, terrorists threaten to spread poisonous chemicals in an area they've managed to capture. Soldiers and military vehicles, including combat helicopters engage in operation to terminate the terrorists, but one of the suicide bombers blows up a truck with poisonous matter.
After mapping the contamination zone, firefighting crews, rescuers as well as radiation, chemical and biological defence troops arrive at the site to take situation under control, save people and clean the area.
