      Syria: OPCW inspectors head for talks at Foreign Affairs Ministry

      Inspectors from the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) departed the Four Seasons hotel in Damascus, Wednesday, to attend a meeting at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

      The OPCW team are tasked with inspecting the country's existing stockpile of chemical weapons. The OPCW is the implementing body of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).

      The team crossed into Syria from Lebanon, Tuesday, arriving the day after a UN chemical weapons investigation team had left the country.
