      Russia: Model commits gun-point robbery 'for fun'

      Russia: Model commits gun-point robbery 'for fun'

      A 24-year-old Russian model, Juiletta Almazova, was arrested by police Wednesday after being suspected of stealing 100,000 rubles (around $3,140 US or €2,337) from a Nizhny Novgorod micro-credit office.

      After working for three modelling agencies, Almazova decided to return to her home town of Nizhny Novgorod for summer. On August 17, the model, armed with a BB gun and with stockings covering her face, entered the office and robbed the store at gunpoint.

      Almazova was later caught by police while travelling to Moscow by train. Police officials said off-record that Almazova held up the store 'for fun' and any reasons for the act are unclear, if present at all. Currently under house arrest, the model now faces up to 10 years behind bars,
