Syria: Al Nusra booted out of village after 17 deaths - Syrian army
The Al Nusra Front militant group has attacked the predominately Alawite village of Maksar Alehsaan, causing the deaths of 17 civilians, according to the Syrian army.
The village, which lies in the region of Al Mukarram was targeted by Al Nursa, who travelled from across the Iraqi border, the army says.
Members of the Syrian army with support from National Defence Force have regained control. The Syrian army also says they prevented Al Nursa from taking over the villages of Jubb Al Jarrah and Al Masoudiyeh. However the conflicts have caused damage to the area, destroying many buildings.
