Ukraine: Comics play doctors and nurses to inject truth into parliament

Members of so called Satirical-Democratic Party of Ukraine (USDP) took part in an unusual protest outside the Ukrainian House of Parliament in Kiev, Tuesday.

Under the slogan: "We are responsible for those whom we have chosen" the action was organised by the famous Ukrainian comics Georgiy Deliev and Boris Barsky. Deliev and Barsky are members of the famous "Maski" (Masks) comedian crew.

Dressed like doctors, the organisers of the protest against "the epidemic of lies, hypocrisy and corruption in Ukraine" brought a wide range of "pills from greed" and delivered them to MPs before the start of the parliaments plenary session. They also offered injections of medicine called "Pravdogon" that stimulates telling the truth among MPs.

Ukraine earlier this year introduced anti-corruption legislation that comes into effect this month.
