      Russia: Stop focusing on the finer details about Syrian proposal, Pushkov says

      Alexei Pushkov, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said on Tuesday that Syria is ready to discuss all possible solutions in order to avoid the war. However he also stressed that knitpicking over the final details of the chemical weapons hand over is "pure fiction and speculation". He believes that the focus should be on avoiding a war in Syria.

      Syria has formally agreed to hand over its chemical weapons stockpiles to the UN. The idea was put forward by Russia after an offhand remark by the U.S. Secretary of State. Other nations are getting behind the idea too - with France wanting a resolution on it at the UN.
