Syria: Europeans will be next chemical weapons victims, says Deputy Foreign Minister
Europe will be the victim of a chemical weapons, says the Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, speaking from Damascus. The United States, Britain and France has accepted the "terrorists" narrative and will regret their haste, Mekdad stated.
"The biggest threat in the chemical weapons claims made by the US, the UK and France is that the weapons could have actually been used by terrorists, and now the governments of these countries are defending these terrorists by adopting their statements as true," said Mekdad. "This means that chemical weapons will be soon used by the same gangs but next time it will be the Europeans who will be the victims."
Mekdad went on to say that Western nations' alleged support of terrorist organisations must stop and aggression towards Syria must halt. The NATO allies are preparing a strike on Syria, following a purported chemical attack on August 21. The incident is currently being investigated by a UN team, but Britain, US and French officials have stated that they hold the Syrian government responsible.
