UK: Latest loyalist march hits Belfast
The Royal Black District Chapter No. 4 marched on the traditional route to east Belfast on Saturday, the latest gathering during what locals term the 'marching season'. Police were standing by as the march made its way to Templemore Avenue, which has been the site of regular clashes with police in recent weeks.
Belfast has witnessed sectarian violence on a number of occasions in 2013, including clashes in July when 32 police officers were injured during Orange Order protests. Following those clashes, Northern Ireland's secretary of state, Theresa Villiers, warned that continued protests could seriously damage Northern Ireland's reputation internationally.
