Egypt: Protesters aim lasers at military helicopter

Demonstrators pointed laser beams at a military helicopter flying above the presidential palace where a large demonstration was held in Cairo on Sunday.

Protesters called on Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to step down, with shouts of 'Irhal! Irhal!' meaning 'Get out!' Get out!' rippling through Tahrir Square. The square was packed with thousands of protesters who blame the president for failing deliver on promised reforms following his election in 2012.

Morsi was the first president elected to office following the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak in 2011.
