Russia: Motorsport Death Match derby comes to the Russian capital
Loud cars and tonnes of mud took over the Olympic Stadium in Moscow on Saturday at the Hard Derby motorsport Death Match in Moscow.
For the first time, the Russian audience had a chance to see the most dangerous and spectacular car show in the world. More than 30 drivers, with specially tuned vehicles for this event, were smashing their way to the €150,000 ($190,000) jackpot.
The competition was held in two rounds. In the first, each participant had to face nine rivals in the 'head-on battles'. During the second round, the monster truck Carcracker took over the stage with one objective - to destroy every car on the field.
The organisers stress that the battle arena cars have to go through the necessary training and regulated safety requirements before taking part in the derby.
