Russia: Freestyle motorcycle competition revs up fans interest
The International Motorcycle Industry Salon (IMIS) had its grand finals on Sunday in Russia's northern capital St. Petersburg.
More than 25 motorcyclists took part in the freestyle competition on Sunday where there were 2 main disciplines of stunt riding. One, which is stoppi- riding on the front wheel and the other, wheelie- riding on the back wheel. Spectators were also given the chance to see stuntmen riding their motorcycles back to front and sitting on the handlebars.
IMIS is the most prestigious exhibition of the motorcycle industry in Russia, where motorcycle enthusiasts of all ages gather to admire the latest trends and achievements in the industry.
Spectators at the salon also got to see restored vintage motorcycles, the fastest racing motorcycles along with iconic and classic cruisers and lowriders.
