Germany: Boozed up Berliners sketch naked models
A life-drawing class in Berlin neighbourhood Kreuzberg is helping creative juices flow by offering whiskey to all its attendees on Wednesday. On "Whisky Wednesday" around 20 art lovers sip on whisky and ginger mixers while drawing a nude model.
The class was starter by Berlin Film Society founder Jack Howard, and has been running since 2011. Santiago Cruz, Renaissance art specialist and host of the class, claims that adopting a similar philosophy to famously thirsty artists such as Picasso and Toulouse-Lautrec helps student relax and be more creative.
Unlike many other life drawing classes, "Whisky Wednesday" caters for both novices and artists at a more advanced level.
