USA: Rolls Royce introduces their fastest and most advanced car
The Rolls Royce luxury car manufacturer launched the most techonologically advanced car in its history, Wednesday, at the New York International Auto Show in New York.
The latest car model, the Wraith, was displayed during a private tour of the New York International Auto Show one day before the public gets a glimpse.
President of Rolls Royce Motor Cars North America, David Archibald, speaks about the Wraith's newest Satellite Aided Transmission technology. "Using GPS satellites, using the mapping data that is inside the car, the car knows exactly where it is, and therefore when you take your foot off the accelerator going into a corner, the car will know exactly what the road is going to do, and it will make sure you're in the correct gear when you come out of the corner."
The Wraith is now the fastest Rolls Royce model and can go up to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometres) in just 4.6 seconds. Instead of having a more modern aluminium body, this car is made of steel monocoque and has a 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine.
The New York International Auto show will take place from March 29 through to April 7. It was North America's first automobile exhibition, established in 1900, and has been a pioneering event that bring new and innovative automobile technologies to a global platform.
