UK: Investigation continues at Berezovsky residence

Authorities blocked access to the road around the mansion of deceased Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky on Sunday. Exiled Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky was found dead in the bath of his Ascot home in England on Saturday. The roadblock was meant to give investigators space to complete a search for chemical, biological and nuclear material in the home just hours after the body was found.

Police have confirmed the absence of chemical agents at the Berezovsky property.

Berezovsky amassed a multibillion dollar fortune after acquiring many Russian companies for pennies on the dollar after the breakup of the Soviet Union. The tycoon was a vocal critic of the Russian government under President Vladimir Putin, and has been the target of assassination attempts in the past.

Reports have noted unconfirmed claims that Berezovsky committed suicide after a number of months dealing with depression related to the loss of much of his fortune.
