European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti gives a speech at the closing session of the 15th European Space Conference, in Brussels on Wednesday, January 25.

Cristoforetti became the first European woman to command the International Space Station (ISS). She was part of the recent SpaceX Crew-4 mission and Expedition 67, and landed safely back on Earth on October 14, 2022.

The two-day conference, with the theme ‘Securing the Future of Europe in Space’, will focus on the European Space Policy and its technological and industrial challenges.
